Hi there! I am your new Zoning Administrator for the Township. We have had many new property owners in our Township this year, and would like to remind everyone that a Zoning Compliance Permit is necessary for any new structure on your property. Also, if you have any animals at your home, we ask for a permit to establish the placement of their homes and number per household. I will be sending out inquiry letters at the beginning of the year to help start that process.
I am also the individual who handles any Miscellaneous Debris complaints. Feel free to reach out to me to start that process. There are some current cases that the Township is working on, so if you have any questions, I will be able to answer for you.
Our Planning Commission meets the second Monday of every month at 6:30pm, at the Ely Township Hall. This is the best way to express any concerns or ideas for the Township you may have. We do have openings on our Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals if anyone is interested, you can fill out an application which are at the hall and will be on the website soon.
